Weekend LookBook: June 30 - July 2
In the second edition of our Weekend Lookbook, here's a recap of this weekend:
FRIDAY:
Following our traditional happy hour hot spot at the Biltmore, we went to TacoCraft in South Miami for dinner. We were so happy to be joined by our friend Ivonne, whom we had not seen in a while. Let's be serious, there's no better way to reconnect than over guacamole and delicious tacos!
Not wanting to call it at night yet, we went to our house and decided to have an impromptu game night of Uno and Portuguese dominos.
SATURDAY:
Our Saturday was supposed to be filled with family events, but earlier this week we got contacted by our kitchen cabinet maker to stop by and install the layout of the cabinets. This is super important because it means that the counter top maker could begin his installation process. Once counter tops are installed we can call in for the installation of our appliances-- meaning finally being able to cook at home!! Let's cross our fingers that the process will go smooth and be done soon.
The previous homeowner had an alarm system set up in the house, and seeing as how we were planning to be out of town for 4th of July we thought it be best to re-activate it. We scheduled an appointment with Sammy from ADT Alarm Services, we thought the process would simply be changing the ownership name... nope not that easy. They did a full inspection of the alarm system and corrected any faulty errors-- something we truly appreciate them doing. Overall, the process was simple and the customer service superb! By the time we finished with the kitchen installation and alarm set up, it was too late to attend our dear friend's Nelda's birthday. My cousin had set up a dinner to meet one of my newest little cousin Wesley. We were so happy to have done so, he was simply adorable and sweet!
My cousin Gema gifted us this beautiful personalized doormat for our home! She is so talented-- find her work at Southern Rag! What a perfect gift! And did you notice Mia's name on it?
SUNDAY:
We packed our stuff from a much needed break and headed about an hour and a half north to the beautiful island of Palm Beach! We will be sharing a Palm Beach recap in our next post-- with all of my tips and tricks!
