Weekend Lookbook: July 21- July 23

This Weekend Lookbook is dedicated to my sister in law Sonia and her bachelorette bash. Sonia and her fiancé Jay both work for the school system in Miami-Dade County and wanted to take advantage of their summer vacation to celebrate their bachelor and bachelorette party. We cannot wait to celebrate their wedding in December!

FRIDAY

Preparing for this kind of event calls for tank v the day off from work to fully emerge oneself for this kind of fun! We all met at my house at 3PM and made our way to Atlantic Hotel & Spa in Ft. Lauderdale. There we rented a Suite to accommodate all the girls.

Once we got to the hotel the Maid of Honor, Nelda and I got to working to decorate the room. Look at how pretty everything came out.

After our party room decoration came the surprise time, the bride was pleasantly surprised with all the details planned.

For our evening activities, Nelda planned a games, dinner and dancing. All this of course calls for girls getting beautified. Our bride was done by her amazing cousin, Denise who works at Paul Mitchell in Dadeland.

After the beauty process came time to play games. Our first game was The Panty Game-- Guess Who? Each attendee purchased a panty for the bride and the bride then had to guess who got her which panty. Some guesses were easy, others not so much. She assumed all the cute conservative panties were coming from me, but she was surprised when the panty I gifted her was the US flag one. Now you must be wondering why the US flag? Well her fiancé is a marine veteran and well you can use your imagination from there... haha!

The next game was all about how well you know the bride... and when the team is her cousin and sister-in-law, you really can't compete. Maybe we should've split this power team...

After all those games were played came time for dinner, we all gathered at Tarpon Bend in Ft. Lauderdale. Tarpon Bend always has good food, fun environment, and great music! The night ended at America's Backyard with more drinking and dancing.

SATURDAY

The next day, we were all pretty dead (RIP). When we arrived to our hotel, we were a little disappointed that our A/C was not working properly. To remedy our discomfort, the hotel graciously covered our valet and gave us 4 complimentary breakfasts at their very delicious restaurant. Thank you Atlantic Hotel for your accommodations!

We stayed a couple of hours catching some rays and celebrating our bride before heading home. The bride and I did some more wedding errands later that we will be sharing soon on the blog.

To end their weekend celebration, both the bride and groom invited their bridal party for a BBQ at their home. Again, we are excited to be celebrating their wedding soon.

SUNDAY

Sunday was all about recovering from our adventure. We focused on my new hobby-- biking! We even went out to buy a bike for Papo to join along.

We ended our weekend by visiting our go-to dessert spot-- Morelia Gourmet Paletas. They seriously have the best paletas in town. My personal favorite is the Banana Nutella dipped in white chocolate and topped with peanuts! If you have not been make sure to go!
